Venus Human-Trap Robot
The sculpture showcases how plants don’t want to be disturbed by human beings. Inspired by the Venus Flytrap and other related bug eating plants. The Idea came to mind after visiting greenhouses in Royal Botanic Gardens Kew and discovering the beautiful collection of exotic plants. The robot has an ultrasonic sensor and starts reacting when it senses someone nearby. The robot is meant to gradually close its flower when the person is moving towards it and open again when the person is walking away.
Decorative applications were made from homemade bioplastics.
